Senior Medical Technologist

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical laboratory tests to support patient specimen.
• Utilizes a variety of molecular techniques, instrumentation, and disciplines related to NGS and other molecular procedures
• Performs a variety of laboratory techniques and utilizes analytic instrumentation, such as next generation sequencing, real time PCR, extraction, and fragment analysis
• Adheres to Clinical Laboratory regulations including CAP, CLIA, state and other regulatory agencies
• Practices the proficient and safe use of all equipment necessary for the completion of all duties and responsibilities by following all maintenance, operation, safety and quality controls policies and procedures

Requirements :

• 2-4 years of experience working in a CLIA-certified focusing on molecular pathology lab, using Next Generation Sequencing and other molecular techniques.
• Previous experience with Illumina microarray technology (also known as BeadArray)
