Wiese USA has an immediate need for a Payroll Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will own the payroll functions of the organization, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. Oversee tax jurisdiction set up and quarterly tax submissions. Additional duties include updates to the HRIS system for documentation of pay, performance reviews and other miscellaneous information.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Oversees procedures and processes and manages inquiries and requests related to preparation and distribution of payroll.
- Maintains the maintenance of employee records.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll software, systems, and procedures.
- Oversees the accurate transmittal of weekly 401k contributions including salary deferrals, loans and company contributions.
- Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employees’ hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
- Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with HRIS software. Exposure to Paycom a plus.
- Exposure to weekly and biweekly processing a plus.
- Ability to work on-site at our corporate office in Olivette, MO.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of four years of experience in payroll processing, including multiple state tax jurisdictions.
