Well-regarded and rapidly growing boutique trial law firm in the Loop is actively seeking an experienced insurance coverage associate to join its vibrant national practice. Ideal candidates will have 2 or more years of relevant experience, including drafting coverage opinions and litigating declaratory judgment and bad faith cases. Experience in defending complex tort, healthcare, and other civil litigation matters is also highly desirable.

Our firm focuses on the defense of complex litigation matters in a variety of areas, including general and complex tort matters, healthcare defense, insurance coverage, and commercial litigation, as well as municipal and local government law, real estate development, and other transactional matters. We are also privileged to serve as National Coordinating Counsel for nonprofit and religious clients across the country.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Compensation: $90,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
- J.D. from ABA accredited law school, with strong academic credentials.
- 2 or more years of relevant experience.
- In good standing with the Illinois bar.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Litigate declaratory judgment and bad faith cases, both locally and nationally.
- Draft, prepare, and handle tenders, pleadings, motions, and related legal memoranda.
- Draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions.
- Conduct legal research competently and with proficiency.
- Analyze policies, claims, and related documents to draft coverage opinions.
- Review client documents and draft case evaluations and status reports.
- Assist with and participate in court appearances, mediations, and trials.
