Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and visionary Art Director with expertise in social media to join our team. The ideal candidate will work along side the Creative Director to lead the design and visual storytelling of social media campaigns across platforms. This role combines innovative design thinking with a deep understanding of social media trends and audience engagement to deliver captivating visual content that drives brand growth and engagement. This is an in-office position located in Bentonville, AR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creative Strategy & Concept Development
- Collaborate with internal and client teams to conceptualize social media campaigns that align with the brand’s vision and objectives.
- Translate campaign goals into visually compelling content tailored for various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Design
- Creation of high-quality visuals, including images, videos, animations, and other multimedia assets.
- Set and maintain visual standards for the brand across social media channels.
- Copywriting
- Be comfortable in writing copy for social posts as well as light scripts for social videos.
- Stay in touch with trending hashtags and how they integrate with client’s needs.
- Team Collaboration & Management
- Provide direction and guidance to food stylists, photographers, videographers, and freelancers.
- Stay updated on platform-specific design trends, algorithm changes, and emerging technologies.
- Analyze social media performance data to refine creative strategies for optimal engagement.
- Brand Cohesion
- Ensure all social media content reflects the brand’s identity, tone, and voice.
- Develop and maintain visual guidelines for social media campaigns.
- Innovation & Experimentation
- Push creative boundaries by experimenting with new formats, interactive elements, and platform-specific features.
- Test innovative approaches to drive audience engagement and virality.
- Consistency
- Help develop strategies and efficiencies for creating content at volume
- Analyzing Insights
- Be able to pull meaningful insights from previous results
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years in art direction, with a strong portfolio of social media campaigns.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience). This degree is not required, but preferred. Your experience in this field is more important.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects).
- Knowledge of social media tools like Canva, Figma, or other content creation platforms.
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and visual storytelling.
- Familiarity with video editing and motion graphics is a plus.
