Job Description:

Our client, a well-regarded law firm located in Long Island City, is seeking a talented and motivated Commercial Litigation Associate to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with a strong background in complex commercial litigation to work on a wide range of high-profile matters within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle complex commercial litigation cases, including business disputes, contract matters, and other commercial litigation issues.
• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and provide analysis of legal issues.
• Manage case files and assist with case strategy, discovery, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and trials under the supervision of senior attorneys.
• Collaborate with the litigation team to ensure effective and efficient case management.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of complex commercial litigation experience at a law firm.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience in handling various stages of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, and depositions.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the New York State Bar.
