Our client, a global semiconductor leader, is seeking an experienced employment attorney to advise the company on a wide range of employment and labor law issues in the U.S. and Canada.
Responsibilities for this role include the following:
-Provide legal advice on a full range of North American employment law issues relating to the entire employee lifecycle, including but not limited to: recruiting, hiring, training, performance management, compensation, leaves of absence, return to work and accommodation issues, benefits, terminations, and other employment related topics
-Advise on North American labor and employment law compliance, including but not limited to wage and hour laws, labor laws, health and safety, discrimination, harassment, leave and disability accommodation laws, and other employment related laws and regulations
-Oversee and direct internal investigations in addition to managing litigation, claims, agency charges, and government investigations internally.
-Develop, revise, and implement best in class employment policies, procedures, and scalable training solutions
Applicants must have the following qualifications in order to be considered:
-Law degree from accredited law school and membership in at least one US state bar
-At least ten years experience in employment law, preferably a combination of law firm and in-house practice
-Significant experience handling employment litigation and charges.
-Counseling experience, including risk mitigation in the entire employee lifecycle
