Dayshift: 6AM - 6PM
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Ensure safety for all residents
- Assess and document the resident's condition and nursing need
- Accurately and promptly implement physician's orders
- Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans
- Supervise and direct CNA's
- Keep resident's environment clean and free of clutter
- Obtain resident vital signs
- Answer resident call lights and ensure that residents who are unable to call for help are checked frequently
- Follow safety/infection control precautions
- Follow hand-washing procedures during your daily duties
- Assist with meal tray set-up and assist with resident meals as needed. Ensure that all meals, snacks, and fluids are recorded
- Document on flow sheets as directed
- Assist in transporting residents to activities, therapy, etc
- Report all complaints or grievances to the Nurse Supervisor/Director of Nursing/Administrator or Social Worker
- Immediately report all suspected incidents of abuse to the Abuse Coordinator
- Immediately report all incidents/accidents to your Nurse Supervisor no matter how minor they may be
- Perform other tasks as assigned

Educational Requirements and Experience: - Graduate of an accredited LPN School of Nursing
- Valid LPN license in the state of Alabama
- Valid CPR certification
- Minimum one year nursing experience preferred
- Minimum one year SNF experience highly preferred

- Ability to work effectively with the residents, their family members, and at all levels of the facility
- Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
