Participates in all functions necessary to maintain high standards of care in all areas. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.nnRequired Job Qualifications:nn• 0 to 2 years of previous years of experience.nn• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Program.nn• Registered by the ARRT.nn• Current Active Illinois State License.nn• Current CPR.nn• Ability to deal efficiently and courteously with all hospital personnel and work in a team-oriented environment.nn• Verbal and written skills necessary to facilitate communication with a variety of personal.nn• Ability to maintain confidential information.nn• Ability to take call on rotation (include weekdays, weekends and Holidays, arrival time for STEM! in 30 min.).nnPreferred Job Qualifications:nn• Associates degree.nn• ACLS desirable (if no ACLS highly recommended to acquire in 6 months-I year after hire date).nnPhysical Demands:nnRequires full range body motion including handling and lifting patients as necessarynnRequires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.nnResponsibilities:nnResponsibilitiesnn• Receives and reviews requests for diagnostic and interventional procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath and Special Procedure Department.nn• Accepts patients and assesses their condition to determine proper handling and special requirements.nn• Explains and prepares the patient for all cardiac and/or interventional radiology procedures.nn• Prepares procedural table and/or room per Cardiac cath and interventional procedures as indicated by protocol.nn• Possesses and utilizes proper aseptic technique and isolation procedures when appropriatenn• Relies on extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology and effects of disease processes to properly and safely position the patient for maximum diagnosis.nn• Operates highly complex equipment within the cardiac cath and interventional department, selecting technical factors to ensure high-quality radiographs using the A.LA.R.A. standards.nn• Documents exams, transmits images, and charges accurately.nn• Demonstrates the ability to cope with and manage change.nn• Maintains equipment and rooms in proper working condition. Reports malfunctions and necessary repairs to Manager and/or appropriate personnel.nn• Performs various clerical duties.nn• Checks stock inventory and initiates orders.nn• Must be available for on-call status, as needed, after normal operating hours (include weekdays, weekends andnn• Holidays, required arrival time for STEMI in 30 min.)nnRush is an equal opportunity employer.
