This role will work to recognize normal and abnormal characteristics of sonograms in a variety of settings. As a Sonographer, understands and integrates into the delivery of patient care in regards to their growth and development process. The position actively supports the Hospital’s and Department’s Continuous Quality Improvement and customer service goals, individually and as an effective team member. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and ICARE values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.nnOther information:nnRequired Job Qualifications:nn• Graduate from an accredited Cardiac Sonography Program.nn• Maintains four certifications with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), either Abdominal (AB), Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN), Vascular (RVT), Musculoskeletal Sonography (MSK) or Pediatrics (PS)nn• Competent and proficient in Sonographynn• Demonstrates good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.nn• Working knowledge of the IT systems that support the modalitynn• Ability to identify and flag abnormalitiesnnPhysical Demands:nn• Requires full range body motion including handling and lifting patients when necessary.
