Insight Global is seeking a Scheduler to join one of Alberta’s leading utility companies on a 1 year hybrid contract, with a strong possibility of a 2-year extension. The role involves creating, updating and coordinating project schedules utilizing Primavera and supporting a team of Project Managers in the delivery of projects from inception through to closeout. Responsibilities include:
- Schedule creation, monitoring, updating and distribution
- Consulting with project manager and technical experts to set up assignment, tasks and subtasks
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective scheduling management system
- Coordinating project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders
- Monitoring project timelines and deadlines
- Identifying potential schedule delays and facilitating intervention in a timely manner
- Evaluating performance and preparing project progress reports
- Accommodating changes to project schedules
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong knowledge of Primavera P6
- 5+ years' of scheduling and planning experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work site environment
- Excellent interpersonal and team skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees
- Willingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledge
