Position Summary
This position reports to the Superintendent of the respective Family of Schools.
Under the direction and authority of the Superintendent of the respective Family of Schools or the Superintendent of Special Education and Learning Services or designate (i.e. Principals of assigned schools), works in collaboration with and assists teachers in delivering programs and interventions to individuals and groups of exceptional students and non-identified students exhibiting social, emotional, and behavioural problems.
Qualifications for Child and Youth Worker
- Minimum Community College Diploma in Child and Youth Work
- Minimum three (3) years of Child and Youth Work practice experience following graduation
- Minimum of two (2) years of Child and Youth Work practice experience or related experience following graduation if experience has been within an educational system
- Evidence from previous work history of satisfactory attendance and punctuality
