Job Description

Our customer, located in the Woodbridge, ON, are seeking an organized and proactive HR Administrator to join their team, supporting employees across Canada and the United States. This role will provide vital administrative support, ensuring smooth operations, compliance with regional labor laws, and an exceptional employee experience. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of HR practices, excellent communication skills, and thrives in a dynamic, environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employee Support & Administration:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, payroll, and other HR matters in Canada and the US.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems, ensuring compliance with regional data privacy regulations.
  • Assist with onboarding new hires, including coordinating background checks, preparing offer letters, and ensuring a seamless orientation process.

Benefits & Payroll Coordination:

  • Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and terminations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure employees are set up accurately with payroll company, addressing discrepancies when needed.

Compliance & Policy Implementation:

  • Ensure compliance with Canadian and US labor laws, including employment standards, health and safety regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the development, communication, and enforcement of company policies and procedures.

Recruitment & Talent Support:

  • Provide administrative support for recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Maintain candidate records and assist with the coordination of hiring documentation.

HR Projects & Initiatives:

  • Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and training programs.
  • Contribute to HR initiatives, such as diversity and inclusion efforts, wellness programs, and performance management.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Generate HR reports as needed, including headcount, turnover, and benefits utilization.
  • Monitor and track employee milestones such as work anniversaries and contract renewals.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR certification (e.g., CHRP, SHRM-CP, or PHR) is required.
  • 2+ years of HR experience, ideally supporting employees in both Canada and the US.
  • Knowledge of Canadian and US labor laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
