We are looking to hire a Associate Creative Director - Copywriter to join our growing team, a full-time position based in our Vancouver studio.
You'll be working with the world's most interesting city, travel, hospitality and real estate brands, bringing them to life through long and short-form copywriting and storytelling that differentiates them from the competition, gives them a unique language and voice, and attracts talent, visitors and investment.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for branding and travel, an interest in placemaking, architecture and urban design, and a desire to shape the cities, destinations, and communities people will be talking about tomorrow.
Requirements:
• 8+ years experience working in a creative agency
• Hybrid position based in Yaletown, Vancouver (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Who you are:
• You have exceptional creativity and versatility, excellent written and verbal communication, a deep understanding of marketing and branding principles, and an ability to analyze and interpret data to inform storytelling strategies.
•You will work collaboratively with the VP of Creative, VP of Storytelling, VP of Strategy and other fellow creatives to write compelling copy across print, digital, merchandise and environmental platforms.
•You are experienced in strategy and brand building, and know how to use language to bring these elements together to express values, embody a brand’s personality and create a unique voice to appeal to our clients’ target audiences.
•You tap into the unique tone and voice of each brand/client/place, and can write both short (naming, headlines, manifestos, social posts, etc) and long (strategy, brand touchpoints, presentation decks, reports, etc) for places ranging from neighbourhoods to districts, cities to 5-star resorts and hospitality venues. You are expressing a sense of place, marketing large-scale real estate projects and making entire cities and regions desirable to world-wide audiences of visitors, residents and investors.
•You enjoy digging in and doing projects from beginning to end, whether that’s coming up with the big idea, naming a new development, presenting to a client, going on a site visit, tweaking existing copy, writing short headlines or creating a multi-page website.
•You’re able to manage multiple projects and remain flexible through revisions while paying keen attention to detail.
•You have excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for details, manage your time effectively and maintain responsibility for your projects to ensure they run smoothly.
Your day-to-day activities include:
• Writing compelling copy (long-form and short-form) across all marketing channels, including naming, headlines, messaging strategy, websites, email, social posts, video scripts, digital and print advertising.
• Collaborating and contributing with the creative team to conceptualize big ideas for campaigns and initiatives for destinations, developments and communities.
• Distilling research and client objectives into storylines, manifestos and brand platforms.
• Presenting concepts and finished projects to clients.
• Editing and proofreading all copywriting before it goes live.
• Developing and maintaining the brand voice and tone of all client communications, and working with clients to ensure the continuity of the brand among levels of stakeholders.
• Writing long and short-form copy in the unique tone of a given client/brand.
• Conducting, recording and distilling stakeholder interviews and other qualitative research.
• Working on multiple projects at once, and thriving in a fast-paced work environment.
• Supporting the overall marketing, content and business development efforts of the company.
