Key responsibilities include:
- Contract review and drafting:
Examining and drafting purchase agreements, lease agreements, and other real estate contracts to ensure legal compliance and protect client interests.
- Title searches and examinations:
Conducting thorough title searches to identify any liens, encumbrances, or other issues affecting the property title before closing.
- Closing document preparation:
Preparing all necessary closing documents, including deeds, mortgages, and settlement statements.
Negotiating terms of real estate transactions on behalf of clients, including price, closing dates, and contingencies.
Representing clients in legal disputes related to real estate transactions, such as boundary disputes, contract breaches, or property damage.
Providing legal counsel to clients regarding zoning laws, property rights, and other relevant real estate regulations.
Maintaining open communication with clients, keeping them informed about the status of their transaction and addressing any concerns.
