Akkodis is seeking a Medical Device Product Test Engineer for a 13-month contract position with a client located in Bloomington, IN. You will solve various engineering problems, develops test methods, and performs testing studies for a wide range of medical devices across multiple strategic business units.
Rate Range: $50.00/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Medical Device Product Test Engineer job responsibilities include:
• Utilize engineering knowledge and technical expertise to create and refine test methods for various medical devices.
• Work closely with Product Development and Production Engineering to assist in test method development and planning
• Perform testing according to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) as defined by CFR Title 21, part 58.
• Generate protocols and test reports
• Review and approve test requests and studies as appropriate
• Support Regulatory Affairs, as required, with input for submissions and renewals
• Work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout the organization
• Strictly adhere to safety requirements
• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
• Contribute to the development of relevant quality systems
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology
• Minimum 5 years engineering experience in the medical device field
• Experience with verification testing. Experience with test method validation desired
• Experience using analytical skills and problem solving
• Experience in communication and working with a wide variety of associates
• Knowledge of statistical evaluation techniques
• Collaborative worker with ability to develop strong working relationships
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
• Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations
