Job Summary: The Training Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that all employees, including new hires, transfers and promotions are thoroughly onboarded and trained in compliance with our standard operating procedures (SOP's), logs, compliance requirements, safety protocols and company policies.
Responsibilities : I
Onboarding & Training Program Development:
- Design and deliver onboarding programs for new employees, ensuring they understand company culture, policies, and job-specific requirements.
- Develop and implement training plans for employees transitioning to new roles or being promoted, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Conduct training across all operational areas, including cannabis cultivation, processing,
and product manufacturing (Flower, Vapes, Live Concentrates, and Edibles).
SOP Management & Compliance:
- Collaborate with department managers to develop, update, and maintain all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure that training materials are consistently updated to reflect the most current SOPs and industry regulations.
- Monitor adherence to SOPs, compliance regulations, and safety standards during training and operations.
Safety &Compliance Training:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs to ensure all employees understand and adhere to safety protocols.
- Educate employees on compliance with local, state, and federal cannabis regulations.
- Conduct regular refresher courses on safety and compliance to maintain high standards across the facility.
Certification & Training Tracking:
- Implement a system for tracking and managing required and non-required training certifications for all employees.
- Maintain accurate records of all training sessions, employee progress, and certification status.
- Generate reports on training effectiveness and compliance, identifying areas for improvement and addressing any gaps.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with department managers to identify specific training needs and customize programs accordingly.
- Serve as a key resource for training-related inquiries, providing support and guidance to employees and managers.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a training management role, preferably in the cannabis industry or a similarly regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of cannabis cultivation, processing, and manufacturing practices (prefetTed).
- Experience in developing and managing SOPs, with a focus on compliance and safety.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse teams.
- Proficient in training software, learning management systems(LMS), and tracking tools.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to pass a drug screen as part of maintaining a drug-free work environment.
- Possession of a valid driver's license for transportation purposes, such as overseeing off-site visits or deliveries.

- The employee is required to safely lift and/or move up to 40lbs on a :frequent basis
Stipulation of employment is passing an OHIO BCI and FBI background check in accordance with ORC/OAC 3796. Employees are not allowed to work on the premises until the badge is activated in the Ohio Department of Medical Marijuana e-Licensing portal.
