We are seeking an experienced Escomatic Machine operator to set-up and operate Escomatic Swiss Screw Machines to produce precision machined components applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, layouts, control plans and machining procedures. This is a 1st shift, direct hire position offering excellent pay and benefits! Relocation is being offered.
Job Functions:
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and optical comparators.
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials (i.e. coil stock) onto machines, adhering to all training and safety guidelines.
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
- Machine parts to blueprint specifications.
- Set up, adjust and use all the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation of tools to perform the appropriate precision machining operations.
- Measure, examine, and test completed components to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using the appropriate instruments (comparators, gages etc.)
- Follow and document all required SPC, ISO etc. procedures as required
- Maintain escomatic equipment as required. Observe and detect any machine issues and diagnose if adjustment / repairs are required.
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a machine shop environment
- Set up and operation of D2, D4, and or D6 escomatic machines REQUIRED
- Ability to hold tight tolerances and produce high quality work
- Experience reading blueprints
- Good math skills and ability to use basic measuring equipment
