Bananas is a new American restaurant opening up in the East Village in Jan 2025.

Qualifications:
- General knowledge of cooking techniques and safe equipment and food handling procedures
- Knife skills will be required
- Strong communication and organizational skills are required - we are an open kitchen and will have customers seating at the counter.
- Must be punctual, reliable, and have a strong sense of cleanliness
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds
- Dexterity to handle multiple dishes
- Ability for consistency (quality control) and maintaining high level of service and professionalism
- Experience with Asian cuisine, NYC nightlife, fast-paced NYC restaurants is not required but is a plus.
- Having food handler's license is also a plus.
- Must be okay with PM shifts
Responsibilities:
- Checking in with chef for day to day operations
- Receiving and putting away orders according to our kitchen policies
- Store, label, and date all food items
- Completes daily logs/production worksheets
- Tastes dishes to ensure quality control
- Operates and cleans station throughout prep and service
- Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations
- Takes orders and serves customers efficiently and warmly at the kitchen counter
