6mth initial contract with likely extension / conversion opportunity

We are exclusively engaged to support a start-up with a critical hire. This is a Scientist / Sr, Molecular Biology. This opportunity requires an individual with strong experience with molecular biology techniques including, but not limited to, cloning, RNA/DNA isolation, qPCR, Western Blotting, IHC.

Responsibilities:

• Collaboratively design and execute a variety of assays, including immunohistochemistry, fluorescent in situ hybridization, qPCR, ELISA, etc. Design and produce reagents for in vivo and in vitro experiments, including antisense, lentivirus, AAV, siRNA, and CRISPR based modalities.
• Contribute to in vitro assay design and optimization.
• Present findings and data analysis in research meetings.

Background requirements:

• M.S. degree in life science with 5+ years experience, or PhD with relevant laboratory experience.
• Extensive experience and grasp of molecular biology techniques including but not limited to cloning, qPCR, CRISPR editing, ELISA, HIBit assays.
• Experience working with mammalian cell culture is preferred
• Experience working in a drug discovery or industry setting is preferred
• Experience with lab automation is preferred.
