Job Opportunity: Pastry Sous Chef
Sullivan Street Bakery is seeking a Pastry Chef , with a strong focus on laminated dough. This is an ideal role for someone eager to grow in the F&B and pastry industry.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily production of pastries, viennoiserie, ice creams, and more.
- Manage a team of 2-3 people and work with other departments
- Handle ordering, deliveries, and maintain supplier cost margins.
- Collaborate with FOH to meet pars and develop new items.
- Ensure kitchen organization, cleanliness, and food safety.
- Conduct daily product quality checks
Qualifications:
- 4+ years’ experience in pastry
- Experience with laminated dough, cakes, ice cream, chocolate
- Strong sense of team work
- Sociable, dependable, and attentive to cleanliness and food safety (NYC Food Handler’s License a plus).
- Must be available for various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
