Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fleet Manager to oversee and manage our fleet of commercial vehicles, drivers, and related assets. The Fleet Manager will ensure that vehicles are utilized safely and efficiently, while maintaining cost-effectiveness and regulatory compliance. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to leverage technology to improve fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Knowledge of Just In Time manufacturing.
A love for food.

Driver Management: Monitor and improve driver performance, including behavior, attendance, and adherence to safety protocols.

Develop and implement driver training programs focused on safety and risk management.
Create and manage driver schedules to ensure compliance with Hours of Service regulations and operational efficiency.
Operations & Communication:

Optimize routes and schedules to improve asset utilization and reduce operational costs.
Use GPS systems to track vehicles and monitor fleet performance in real time.
Maintain open communication with drivers, upper management, and clients to ensure smooth operations and prompt issue resolution

Oversee vehicle licensing, insurance, registration, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Manage vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Make decisions on when to retire, sell, or reassign vehicles as needed.

Compliance & Reporting:

Ensure the fleet complies with all transportation laws and safety regulations.
Prepare regular performance and financial reports for upper management, including fleet expenses and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or a related industry.
Strong leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of fleet management software and telematics tools.
Ability to analyze performance data and implement process improvements.
