Job Details

Cactus Wren is a new restaurant opening in January 2025. Lead by the
Michelin-Starred team from Sixty Three Clinton, chefs Sam Clonts, Abe
Chang, and Raymond Trinh have worked with some of the most notable
hospitality endeavors (Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare, Uchu, Atomix,
Jungsik, Jua) in New York. At Cactus Wren, they carry that level of
experience to a more casual concept. Cactus Wren will be an upscale
wine bar/restaurant in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

We Require:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience behind bar, including cocktail  creation, costing, ordering/receiving, inventory maintenance, and prep skills for garnishes, recipes, syrups, batches, juices, etc.
  • The creative and technical abilities to execute a creative and  balanced bar program that lends itself to restaurant ethos
  • Able to respond to guest and/or manager feedback to tailor an  exceptional beverage and restaurant experience
  • Confident and correct use of Toast POS system for order entry and  payment processing
  • Knowledge of Cocktail Culture and history to promote staff education

  • Meticulous attention to organization and cleanliness of bar to meet  DOH requirements, as well as restaurant standards

  • Full knowledge of food, wine, sake, cocktail and spirit items offered  by restaurant

  • Provide open-hand service, mise guests with proper silverware, and  meet table maintenance standards of restaurant

  • Support team with beverage and food service in both the bar and dining rooms

  • Responsibly serve alcoholic beverages

  • Complete all necessary opening and closing side-work according to  standards and specifications in a timely and professional manner

  • Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods up to  10 (nine) hours in length.
  • This position requires full time availability, including days, nights  & weekends.

Compensation Details:

Compensation: Hourly ($16.50) plus tips
