As a Senior Network Engineer supporting JSP ETM-NG, you will be trusted to review and evaluates information technology (IT) infrastructure and systems to ensure adherence to company and customer quality standards. In this role, a typical day will include:nnHow the Sr. Network Engineer will make an impact:nnDesigns, plans, and builds communications networks.nnConfigures routers and switches, and firewalls for LAN and WAN systems and VPN concentrators with appropriate network engineering and communications protocols.nnCoordinates LAN/WAN hardware/software improvements and/or enhancements.nnMonitors the network utilizing industry leading technologies.nnProvides innovative methods and technical solutions using the engineering design process.nnPlans implementation of enhancements.nnAnalyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.nnPerforms maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.nnMaintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability.nnCoordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.nnCreates plans and configures systems for data communication networks.nnEvaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.nnMaintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.nnDesigns and builds the hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks.nnProvides guidance and leadership to less-experienced network personnel.nnWhat you'll need to be successul:nnActive Top Secret/SCI security clearancennBachelors’ Degree in a related field OR work experience in lieu of degree.nn5+ years of experience in Network AdministrationnnIAT Level II certificationnnOne of the following Networking Certifications - Brocade, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Juniper (JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP), ArubannMust have hands-on experience/knowledge with Aruba networking systemsnnWilling to report onsite as indicated above.nnDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:nnAruba Certification (ACSA and/or ACSP, depending on role)nnThe likely salary range for this position is $88,275 - $106,162. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
