ECS is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to work in our Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon (contract award).
The Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) is responsible for ensuring the security of the platform and mission software against cyber threats and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and certifications. The ISSE will work closely with the development teams to bake security measures and protocols into every aspect of the platform and ensure that Zero-trust capabilities are integrated into the platform. The ISSE will also be responsible for obtaining and maintaining the accreditation of environments and ensuring uninterrupted mission software development and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with development teams to identify and implement security measures and protocols in the platform and mission software.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards for the platform and mission software.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and certifications, such as NIST, DOD, and FedRAMP.
- Implement and maintain an Incident Response Plan to respond to security incidents.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure that security is integrated into every aspect of the platform, including development, testing, and operations.
- Work with external partners and vendors to ensure that security requirements are met in any third-party products or services used by the platform.
- Stay up to date with the latest security threats and trends, and recommend improvements to the platform's security posture
Salary Range: $153,000-$168,000

- At least 5 years of experience in information security.
- Strong understanding of security protocols and technologies, including encryption, access control, and identity management.
- Experience with security standards and compliance frameworks, such as NIST, DOD, and FedRAMP.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and tools, such as Agile and DevOps.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
