Job Description:
ECS is seeking a qualified SharePoint Online Administrator/Developer (Int) to support transformative science and technology solutions for the Department of Energy.
Responsibilities:
- Support Exchange and SharePoint Infrastructure
- Create/Update/Delete sites, subsites, libraries, lists, pages and applications in SharePoint
- Control permissions through SharePoint groups at every level from site all the way down to document level
- Perform work in SharePoint Online environment in both classic and modern sites/pages
- Provide Windows server administration and generalized IT End User Support Specialist tasks as needed. Plan, design, specify, deploy and maintain server systems.
- Create and maintain maintenance routines to support operational business needs and continuity of services.
- Patch remediation for all servers on various networks.
- Will serve as a SharePoint Administrator for SharePoint Online and on-premises SharePoint farms
- Knowledge of and experience using PowerShell to automate tasks including deploying solutions, creating custom scripts, managing disk space, audit logs, and usage reporting
- Experience migrating SharePoint sites from on-premises to SharePoint Online
- Experience with Windows Server administration including checking event logs, managing software updates, and configuring SharePoint cumulative updates
- Experience with building and configuring on-premises SharePoint forms including installing SharePoints, building web-front ends, connecting to database servers, and identifying server specifications such as CPU and memory
- Experience using Internet Information Services (IIS) to install, configure and manage SharePoint applications, configure application pools and website properties, and manage website security.
- Experience in designing and implementing SharePoint architecture and managing site collections and sub-site hierarchies
- Knowledge of and experience building and maintaining content management systems using SharePoint
- Experience using Sharegate for SharePoint site migrations
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix issues related to software deployment, configuration, and system errors related to SharePoint
Required Skills: - Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field AND two years of SharePoint administration/development experience
OR - Associate's Degree in a relevant field AND four years of SharePoint administration/development experience
OR - Six years of SharePoint administration/development experience
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or DOE Q clearance throughout the life of the contract
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must currently live in Pittsburgh, PA or willing to relocate
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Skills: - Active Top Secret or DOE Q Clearance with the ability to maintain clearance throughout the life of the contract.
- Two or more years experience supporting US Government customers
- Project Management Professional certification
- Experience supporting complex government and programs of a research and development nature
- Experience administrating SharePoint Online including managing multiple tenant settings, restoring sites from the recycle bin, managing access control policies, managing term store, managing content type galleries, deploying custom web parts, and managing API access for custom web parts
- Experience administrating SharePoint Online including creating and deleting sites, managing sharing settings at the organizational level, adding and removing site admins, and managing site storage limits
- Experience installing and configuring SharePoint 2016 and higher on on-premises SharePoint farms
- Experience installing SharePoint cumulative updates
- Experience with using Internet Information Services (IIS)
- Experience implementing and deploying custom SharePoint features to enhance out of box SharePoint functionality
- SharePoint development experience using Windows Workflow Foundation, and Excel services
- Demonstrated experience utilizing Visual Studio for implementing local and enterprise-wide enhancements and features
