Mobile EngineernnJob IDnn183415nnPostednn05-Sep-2024nnService linennGWS SegmentnnRole typennFull-timennAreas of InterestnnEngineering/MaintenancennLocation(s)nnOakland - California - United States of AmericannResponsibilitiesnnWorking under limited supervision when supporting assigned service calls, uses sophisticated HVAC skills to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair of HVAC equipment, and building systems across multiple buildings within a route.nnIdeal candidates will have prior experience working with commercial and industrial HVAC equipment such as RTUs, split systems, package units, and chillers.nnEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesnnPerforms assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance.nnReviews assigned work orders, estimates time and materials needed to complete repair, orders necessary materials and supplies to finish the tasks, uses CMMS to handle work orders and track completion.nnResponsible for installation and modification of building equipment systems, and Inspects new installation for compliance with building codes and safety laws.nnResponsible for the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of HVAC roof top units (RTU's) and chiller systems.nnInspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.nnCoordinates and inspects the work performed by outside contractors.nnMaintains an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum.nnMaintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.nnMay serve as a mentor to other technicians.nnReport and communicate daily all work activity via PDA devicennWhy CBRE?nnBenefits start 1st of the month: Medical, dental vision, PTO, 401k, etc.nnInternal advancement available after 6 month mark. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.nnEducation and ExperiencennHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 4 years of refrigeration experience, or equivalent school and experience.nnPrior RTU and refrigeration experience preferred.nnPrefer experience in retail building maintenance and proven understanding of plumbing, drywall, painting, and/or flooring.nnCertificates and/or LicensesnnEPA 608 / CFC CertificationnnPossess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checksnnPossess necessary skills to functionally operate a "full size" van/trucknnLicensure as required by Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)nnOther Skills and AbilitiesnnExcellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communicationsnnConsistent record of providing excellent internal and external customer servicennUses computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. The minimum salary for the Mobile Engineer position is $58,240 annually (or $28.00 per hour) and the maximum salary for the Mobile Engineer position is $68,640 annually (or $33.00 per hour). The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience.
