MAU is hiring an Accounting and Business Process Specialist for our client in Greer, SC. As an Accounting and Business Process Specialist, you will coordinate projects related to accounting and compliance, assist in financial process reviews, and ensure accounting practices align with IFRS and company guidelines. You will also review internal controls to optimize process efficiency.

Shift Information - Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Required Education and Experience - BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance - required
- 5+ years of accounting experience - required
- Proficient in SAP (FI, CO, and MM modules) - preferred
- Manufacturing experience - preferred
- Fluency in German - preferred
General Requirements - Basic knowledge of databases, operating systems, and IT infrastructure
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles and internal control requirements
- Strong ability to analyze financial data and interpret results

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Access and Excel

Essential Functions - Coordinate departmental project efforts, including scheduling, participant agreements, testing, documentation, user training, and progress reporting
- Manage projects as directed by management, covering planning, concept development, implementation, documentation, testing, and training
- Represent the department in cross-functional projects, aligning project needs with stakeholders in other departments
- Ensure accounting practices and reporting comply with IFRS principles and company guidelines
- Oversee the segregation of duties using system monitoring tools (BizRights APPROVA), negotiating changes and mitigations with departments to maintain control
- Develop and maintain Internal Control System (ICS) documentation, evaluate control effectiveness, and recommend improvements, coordinating ICS activities with company leadership
- Manage internal audit responses in collaboration with relevant departments
- Assist in coordinating financial audits
Travel - Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required for projects, meetings, and training
