The Community - Supai, AZ Supai lies within Havasupai Canyon on the lands of the Havasupai Tribe, which encompass land both above and below the rim of the Grand Canyon; however, do note that Supai is not a part of the Grand Canyon National Park. To be granted access, you'll need to be lucky enough to secure a highly coveted permit to Havasu Falls vi lottery held annually, usually in February. Permit in hand, getting to Supai requires an eight-mile hike, riding by horse or mule, or taking a helicopter ride. The community is home to just about 200 people, who accommodate thousands of tourists each week, shuffling through their village to reach the waterfalls. About the Facility - Supai Indian Health Services Supai Indian Health Service offers healthcare services to the Hualapai Tribe and surrounding communities. This is an ambulatory health station located at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. It is accessible only by helicopter, mule, or on foot. The facility is staffed by one physician. Due to isolation, transportation and communication remain important healthcare issues for the Havasupai community. SHS operates on an appointment system including walk-in availability and serves approximately 1,110 patients. The Supai Health Center provides ambulatory care, with over 5,400 ambulatory visits for fiscal year 2023.
Facility Address: 129 Main St, Supai, AZ, 86435 CT Tech - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to) - CT Tech shall provide diagnostic imaging CT services in Radiography in a competent and professional manner assigned by the Supervisor of Medical Imaging Services.
- Provide services at dates and times assigned by the Supervisor of Diagnostic Imaging Services.
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, such as CT examinations.
- Responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality diagnostic image is produced.
- CT Tech works with remote radiologists and physicians who interpret medical images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury.
- Perform proper radiologic CT examinations for images to be interpreted correctly by the radiologist.
- Deliver appropriate and timely imaging services by the Standards of Care established by the recognized diagnostic imaging department and following the policies and procedures.
- CT Tech is responsible for completing clinical reports and correspondence concerning patients under his/her care in a timely fashion.
CT Tech - REQUIREMENTS - Academic degree from an accredited Radiology Educational Program (Radiology).
- Minimum of one year experience in Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (Computed Tomography).
- Current ARRT (The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiology.
- Current BLS certification.
