About the Facility - Iowa City VAMC The Iowa City VA offers a wide range of health, support, and facility services for Veterans in eastern Iowa, western Illinois, and northern Missouri. This includes services for Primary Care, Mental Health Care, Specialty Care, Social Programs and Services, Telehealth, and Whole Health Services.
Facility Address: 601 US Hwy 6 West, Iowa City, IA 52246 CT Tech - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to) - CT Tech shall provide diagnostic imaging CT services in Radiography competently and professionally assigned by the Supervisor of Medical Imaging Services.
- Provides emergency coverage when short-staffed as assigned by the Supervisor of Diagnostic Imaging Services.
- May encompass out-patient, inpatient, urgent care, and emergency room departments.
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, such as CT examinations.
- Responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality diagnostic image is produced.
- While working closely with radiologists and the physicians who interpret medical images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury.
- Complete clinical reports and correspondence concerning patients under his/her care in a timely fashion.
Computed Tomography Tech - REQUIREMENTS - Certification: Must be certified through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT CT).
- Education: Must have graduated from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Valid state radiology registration as required by state law.
- Must have current Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
