Shields Health has an exciting opportunity for a MRI Tech Aide , to work ( Tuesda y - Friday 6:45am-5:15pm (4-10's) at our facility located in Wellesley , MA. Qualified candidates will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, assist technical staff while maintaining a fast-paced medical environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.) Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
2.) Assist Technologist in setting up the room.
-Set up proper coil for exam.
-Ensure there is clean linen
-Make available any items, which may assist the patients setup.
3.) Assist in the patient interview process.
-Safety check list.
-Symptoms and history.
-Determine if prior exams.
-Make sure patient is properly dressed for exam.
-Explain procedure to patient.
-Reassure the patient if anxious.
4.) Assist technologist in setting the patient for exam.
-Aid the patient getting on table.
-Ensure all safety devices are in place.
-Help makes the patient comfortable.
5. ) Assist technologist upon completion of exam.
-Remove the patient from bore.
-Remove all safety equipment
6.) Aid the patient off the table and assist to changing area
7.) Assist in checking that all paperwork is complete.
8.) Assist getting all prior paper work.
9.) Assist getting all prior pertinent exams.
10.) Assist in checking that prior exams are on the appropriate workstation.
11.) Assist with Tech Data Entry.
12.) Assist with the cleaning and stocking of exam rooms.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent. CPR certification required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent interpersonal skills required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties. Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS:
Extensive interactions with all customer groups, including patients, families, referring community and SHC employees.
