Description
Summary
The MRI/CT Tech Aide plays a vital role in assisting MRI/CT Technologists in preparing patients for
MRI/CT, maintaining a safe and efficient imaging environment. The aide is responsible for providing
excellent patient care, adhering to safety protocols, and supporting and assisting Technologists with their
daily workflow in the MRI/CT facility.
Responsibilities

• Greet and confirm patient information while walking patients to the dressing room and ensure proper safety protocols are followed.
• Assist patients with changing into gowns and removing metal objects/jewellery.
• Daily facility maintenance including but not limited to stocking supplies/linen and changing out of linens.
• Preparing MRI room and equipment before and after each exam.
• Assist MRI Technologists in positioning patients on the scanner table.
• Assist in emergency situations as directed by MRI Technologists or physicians.
• Clean and disinfect MRI equipment and room after use.
• Follow IBJI HIPAA guidelines by protecting the patient's identity and medical records.
• Maintain a positive attitude in the facility with patients and other staff members.
• Demonstrates professionalism with prompt work attendance and flexibility with established work hours.

Requirements
Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and demonstrating effective time management.
• Physically capable of assisting patients and moving equipment as needed.
• CPR Certification (required or willingness to obtain)
• Able to work evenings and weekends.
