Our Headquarters' location, based in White Plains is seeking a full-time employee to fill the position of a Payroll and Benefits Specialist . The Payroll & Benefits Specialist is responsible for the company's payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. This individual will also administer the company's benefit and retirement programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) plan.
Responsibilities:
  • Execute company-wide payroll(s) for 400+ employees on a weekly basis (both union and non-union employees).
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Lead the administration of benefits, such as employee enrolment, assisting employees with insurance and medical claims issues, 401k compliance and questions, and other activities as necessary such as ADA reporting.
  • Assists with the open enrollment process.
  • Assists with audits related to 401k, payroll, etc.
  • Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.
  • Support the HR team with HR related tasks as needed.
Job experience and requirements:
  • 2-3 years of payroll experience. Experience working with Paycom preferred.
  • 1-3 years of benefits administration experience
  • Good knowledge of benefit enrollment procedures and guidelines
  • An absolute requirement to keep sensitive information confidential and private
  • Strong analytical and record keeping skills
  • Ability to prioritize workflow and work on multiple activities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication both written and oral
