Sentara Health has an opening for a Team Lead, Echocardiographer for the Noninvasive Lab at Sentara OBICI in Suffolk, Virginia!

Shift/Hours: 0700-1530 Monday-Friday; One week of call every 7th week. The potential for weekends Saturday and Sunday 0700-1100.
Position Overview:

• Performs cardiac echocardiography of the heart and associated structures using routine and advanced technical skills.
• Assist Cardiology Director with daily operations, coordination of work, achievement of department goals and objectives.
• Participate in the professional development of staff and students.
• Serve as technical resource for other department personnel.
• Coordinate team members schedules to ensure staffing coverage.
• Monitor outpatient echo schedule.
• Aid in the day to day operations of the Echo department, including but not limited to; ordering supplies, troubleshooting any potential issues, participation in system Cardiac imaging meetings.

Minimum Requirements:

• Knowledge of Echocardiography equipment.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) required.
• Bachelor's Level Degree, Associate's Level Degree - CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGY OR High School Diploma. Echo Tech experience in lieu of education: Yes
• Basic Life SupportRequired
