Orlando City Lake Nona is the fastest growing community club in Central Florida. We are uniquely located near Orlando International Airport in the affluent Lake Nona community and a stone’s throw to top attractions such as Disney, Universal Studios and downtown Orlando. OC Lake Nona offers a unique soccer pathway for players within the central Florida market, through full time professional coaches. Staff work closely with the main MLS Academy and offer a detailed, player first curriculum aimed at developing competitive players.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
An Orlando City Lake Nona coach is a full-time position. She/he is an integral part of the Orlando City Lake Nona soccer staff, focusing on all aspects of the club and coaching philosophy. She/He will be responsible for overseeing the development phase, coaching and administrative duties within the boys program. Administration duties involve constant communication with team players and parents, to deliver on field energy and enthusiasm, to manage and oversee rosters, game day travel and coaching, and to provide a unique experience for every squad player.
Coaching
- Plan, deliver, review and reflect on all training and fixtures for the boys groups in conjunction with fellow coaches, consistent with the methodology as outlined in the Orlando City Lake Nona’s curriculum
Administration
- Write and support/lead player reviews once a season with players and parents.
- Communicate with teams, players and families via email at least three times a week
- Responsive to emails, phone calls and messages from players and families
- Complete all relevant tasks set forth by Director of Soccer such as but not limited to camps, clinics and additional programs
General
- As a member of staff to ensure in all matters you follow and actively promote the club’s values.
- Liaise and coordinate, with fellow coaches and operations, to ensure the organization of the boys squads, where applicable.
- Responsible for supporting the Director of Soccer with day to day roles and responsibilities.

Qualifications
Required
- A minimum of 5 years coaching experience required, working with and developing young players within ages 6-16 years old. Boys and/or Girls
- USSF C, UEFA C or higher qualification
- Enthusiasm and Energy
- Capable of handling administrative tasks and computer proficiency
- Communicate effectively in person, via email and over the phone with professional timeliness
Preferred:
- Coaching experience working with players 6-14 years old.
- Capable of positively interacting with youth soccer players, parents, other staff
- Ability to use video technology to support coach and player development
- Ability to follow Orlando City Lake Nona’s Coaching Framework
