How you will contribute:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for a newly created position as our Manufacturing Manager for our ISO 9001-2015 Certified plant in Sidney, Ohio.
We are seeking a highly driven individual that will independently assume responsibility for directing our quality and manufacturing processes. This includes but is not limited to providing direction to the Quality & Team Leaders and personnel totaling 20 to 30 team members: contributing to process and workflow improvements, and efficiencies and higher quality production of our products.
You will report directly to a hands-on local General Manager and remotely to a VP, Manufacturing and to an organization that has been aggressively investing in new technology, hardware, and manufacturing workflow with lean manufacturing processes.
Additionally, you will bring experience in a broad range of manufacturing environments that allows you to contribute meaningfully to the following areas.
Lead, promote and nurture a safety minded environment. Use quality system tools such as PFMEA analysis and process mapping to monitor, maintain and improve existing production planning and flow process.
Analyze and provide ongoing forecasting and capacity management.
Use previous experience in quality management systems to establish and maintain procedures that ensure high standards of productivity of on time production, product quality, cost effectiveness and safety.
Utilize human and capital resources to meet written goals and objectives, established by communication and input from both management, while consistently serving the needs of the customer.
Support and create improvement efforts utilizing lean manufacturing and continual improvement techniques.
Call on past Supervisory experience to Provide leadership, direction, accountability, and motivation to employees.
Support a continuous Quality Improvement mentality on the production floor through the introduction of fresh ideas and the use of proven Quality tools and methods.
What you should offer:
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, manufacturing, supervision, engineering technology, quality, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a formal manufacturing leadership role (supervisor or greater.)
Demonstrated initiative to make decisions, lead issues towards resolution, demonstrate complete follow through and take timely action.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Products including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Lean Manufacturing with a focus on manufacturing and fabrication
Demonstrated strengths in interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to adapt to the audience and professionally communicate with a variety of people.
Strong print reading skills, including color perception and interpretation.
Willingness to learn to run production equipment.
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and accept a Confidentiality and Business Protection Agreement.
Highly qualified candidates will also possess:
Demonstrated experience and results within an ISO 9001-2015 lean manufacturing environment.
Experience with flexographic, digital, and other forms of commercial or industrial printing processes.
Past experience in a variety of manufacturing environments, with multiple customers and suppliers.
5+ years of manufacturing management experience.
Six Sigma Green Belt or similar Certification.
Knowledge of Quality Systems; ISO 9001-2015 and others.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing; Value Stream, Kaizen, 5S, etc.
Willing to become educated in those of the above areas where you may be less knowledgeable.
Strong goal orientation: specifically, the ability to focus on goal attainment and obtain predetermined results effectively and efficiently.
The ability to solve complex problems with high attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment subject to specific deadlines.
