Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION: Performs ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of the heart and related structures, using ultrasound equipment, for use by a physician in diagnosis of heart disease and study of the heart.
RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Performs echocardiograms in accordance with established practices and procedures.
  • Provides preliminary diagnostic evaluation and notifies cardiologists of results of examinations.
  • Consults with cardiologist to establish requirements for non-standard examinations and determines technical factors to satisfy requirements.
  • Is responsible for patient safety protocols.
  • Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.
  • Participates actively in Performance Improvement, Radiation Safety, Patient Satisfaction, Radiological Patient and Physician Education, Continuous Quality Improvement, and other various committees as assigned.

SALARY INFORMATION:
  • $52.47-$63.08 Dependent on Experience
  • Shift differentials may apply for eligible positions.
  • Bonus (If Eligible)
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Credentialed in echocardiography from ARDMS, CCI ARRT (S) required.
  • Accredited Echocardiography Program preferred.
  • Must have current BLS card within 3 months of initial employment and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
  • Minimum of 2 year of professional echocardiography experience in a hospital patient care setting preferred.
