We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Desktop Support Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the entire life cycle of devices within our client’s location. This includes coordinating device refresh cycles, ensuring the smooth transition of hardware and software upgrades, and providing technical support to end-users. - Key Responsibilities: Device Refresh Planning:
- Collaborate with IT and departmental stakeholders to develop and implement device refresh schedules.
- Ensure timely replacement of outdated hardware and software to maintain optimal system performance.
- Hardware and Software Upgrades:
- Coordinate the procurement and deployment of new devices, including computers, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Facilitate the installation and configuration of updated software and applications.
- End-User Support:
- Provide technical assistance to end-users during device refresh cycles.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, resolving them in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate records of device inventory, including serial numbers, configurations, and locations.
- Generate reports on device refresh progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users on new hardware and software features.
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding upcoming device refresh activities and any changes in procedures.
- Perform quality checks on newly deployed devices to ensure they meet organizational standards.
- Collaborate with IT teams to address any issues related to device functionality.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- InTune/ServiceNow
- Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of hardware and software components.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
