As a member of the Supply Chain Management Team, the Demand Planner works closely with sales and customer service to gather market intelligence in order to create and maintain a demand plan, which is a key driver in the S&OP process.
Job Duties:
- Develops and maintains detailed statistical forecast model
- Collaborates with sales and customer service, through a standardized process, to gather market intelligence to augment the statistical forecast model
- Facilitates and leads monthly demand consensus meetings to produce a demand plan
- Participates in monthly S&OP meetings as demand planning subject matter expert
- Develops and manages forecast and demand plan accuracy metrics
- Manages new product introductions from demand planning perspective and works with sales, logistics, production, and customer service to minimize stranded obsolete products
- Key user Microsoft Dynamics and SME for demand planning module
- Develops collaborative relationships with sales and customer service to maximize customer service while maintaining operational efficiency
- Development and maintenance of periodic and ad hoc supply chain reports
- Works closely with others to help to facilitate a smooth transition into and out of seasonal products
- Engages with Demand Planners from other international regions to understand and share best practices
- Organize and drill down demand forecast data into a functional supply chain plan to show impact on Purchasing, Production Planning, Inventory Management, etc.
Job Requirements:
- Extensive demand planning knowledge and experience 3-5 years
- Experience with, and knowledge of the S&OP processes including SAP IBP
- Able to foster relationships with stakeholders of all functions and levels
- Advanced Excel Skills (Power Query/Pivot or Power BI Knowledge Preferred)
- Ability to quickly consolidate massive amounts of data into meaningful and easy to understand reports
- High level of attention to detail and strong data analysis ability
- Experience with creating presentations and leading meetings
- Cross functional business relationship management, including departments, countries, and cultures
