Overview

Otter Products is looking for a Sr. Designer to join our Creative team! This role is based at our Fort Collins, CO headquarters, with the ability to work a hybrid schedule.

As a Sr. Designer, you will fill a crucial role in creating and implementing designs that effectively communicate our brand message through various mediums including but not limited to print media, email advertisements, sales sheets, presentations, retail displays, and the design, maintenance, and optimization of our transactional direct-to-consumer websites. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in brainstorming marketing, branding, and advertising strategies to develop innovative and visually appealing design concepts following brand guidelines, presenting them to leadership, and guiding projects from concept through production, delivering high-quality work that is on brief, on brand, and meets or exceeds deadline and budget requirements. As a Sr. Designer you will create new, elevate, and revise existing marketing materials, contributing to overall team efforts in collaboration with the Director of Creative, Art Director, brand leads, and other stakeholders.

Success in this role requires an advanced understanding of color theory, typography, layout design and usability principles, especially for websites. Additionally, comprehensive skills in translating concepts into visually appealing designs, including web designs, paired with advanced skills in the use of different design tools, such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or Sketch is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the design process from initial concept to final execution, ensuring that all design projects are completed within the given deadlines.
  • Design and maintain the company's direct-to-consumer websites, ensuring a visually appealing, user-centric, responsive design.
  • Bring brand and creative strategy to life with distinctive brand assets, marketing materials and collateral including web banners, email, advertisements, etc., that reinforce brand linkage and consumer relevance.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality design deliverables that meet project requirements and align with our brand guidelines.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to more junior designers, assisting them in their professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams to contribute to a positive culture and team environment.
  • Develop creative concepts into completed, deliverable brand assets, contributing the "art" portion of the "art + copy team".
  • Participate in the cross-functional development, review, and sell-in of ideas, concepts, and approval of finished assets.
  • Support and maintain a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
  • Minimum of five years of in-house or agency design experience including graphic, web, eCommerce, packaging and/or print is required.
  • Portfolio showcasing a wide range of design projects across various mediums, including web site design, is required.

USD $75,500.00/Yr.

For US Based Roles Only - Base Compensation Range Maximum

USD $100,000.00/Yr.
