The Opportunity
As an Accounting Manager, you will be a key player in enabling Kelly+Partners' next phase of growth. The successful applicant will become an integral part of the broader team and will be exposed to a variety of clients and the opportunity to learn in a public practice environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis.
- Conduct periodic financial reviews to assess the firm's financial performance and provide insights to management.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Review account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budgetary performance and variance analysis, recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry guidelines.
- Oversee tax filings and coordinate with external tax advisors as required.
- Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth.
- Set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
- Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, improve efficiency, and streamline workflows.
- Implement best practices and accounting automation tools to optimize operations.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
- Address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with client-facing teams to address client accounting inquiries and provide financial insights.
- Ensure exceptional client service and satisfaction.
About You
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years in accounting, finance, or a similar role, with progressive managerial responsibilities.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and internal stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
