Are you passionate about tackling complex technical challenges in a dynamic cloud environment? Join our team as a Senior Microsoft Azure Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping our cloud infrastructure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provision Azure Resources: Deploy and maintain Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and other server software. Leverage deployment automation tools and custom deployment scripts appropriately.
  • Identity and Access Management: Administer identity and access management leveraging a Least Privileged Access approach. This includes management of Azure subscription role access controls, Active Directory, Key Vaults, Single Sign On (SSO), Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), and cryptographic certificates.
  • Monitor and Maintain Azure Resources: Set applicable monitoring thresholds and alerts, ensure appropriate events are logged, and ensure vulnerability scans are in place, running regularly, and results are appropriately acted upon.
  • Cloud Security and Threat Management: Manage Cisco firewalls and site-to-site Virtual Private Network (VPN), Azure's Network Security Groups (NSG), network routing tables, and Domain Name System (DNS).
  • Backup and Recovery: Manage and monitor backup and recovery systems, including facilitation of an annual disaster recovery exercise.
  • Product Subject Matter Expert (SME): Act as a product SME with other teams across the enterprise and product customers. Respond to inquiries, initiate technical discussions, and actively participate in technical forum
  • Storage Management: Create and manage storage accounts. Monitor data utilization and performance. Participate in data destruction activities appropriately.
  • System Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor system performance and respond to alerts promptly to meet or exceed high availability goals (Datadog, cloud audit trail).
  • Documentation: Document system designs and operational procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible (Lucid, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams).
  • Evaluation of Emerging Technologies: Participate in the evaluation of emerging technologies and tools, recommending solutions that drive innovation and technical excellence.
  • Automation and AI/ML: Leverage AI/ML technologies to enhance automation, improve system diagnostics, and optimize operational workflows.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security measures and compliance protocols to safeguard our systems and data.
  • Collaborative Development: Collaborate with software development, QA, and product teams to align requirements and expedite software releases (Datadog Synthetics, Selenium).
  • Communication: Effectively articulate complex problems, concepts, and solutions to varied audiences.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements in productivity, quality, and reliability.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, Computer Science or related technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in software development and/or technology infrastructure and operations.
  • Proven experience in managing Azure cloud infrastructure services with success in the following areas: Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Active Directory interconnections, and RBAC.
  • Azure networking including site-to-site VPN, subnetting, vnets, routing, Network Address Translation (NAT), and DNS.
  • Azure storage accounts, disk performance and encryption, disk redundancy and striping.
  • Azure resource utilization and consumption, baselines, alerts, and metrics.
  • Azure authentication technologies (including SAML).
  • Azure security safeguards and controls.
  • Microsoft SQL Server in Azure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Expert integration experience (Mulesoft experience is a plus).
  • TOGAF Certification.
  • Expert Azure Certifications.
