The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the PPV/VAVE cost savings, sourcing risk, and supplier management for DRB. They will provide risk management on DRB's supply base through key metrics highlighted during the new vendor and quarterly vendor review processes. This role will proactively research savings opportunities in partnership with OpCo's throughout the Vontier organization. Routine reporting and progress transparency are integral to the role.

Essential Functions:

Illustrative duties may include, but are not restricted to, one or more of the following:

  • Partners with Purchasing leadership, Buyers, SC Data Analyst, and SC Sustainment Engineer on a regular basis to review actions and priorities
  • Creates/updates SOP's and Acumatica training docs stored in common location
  • Takes ownership for the long-term savings strategy for PPV and VAVE.
  • Host and attend Vontier category workshops for all categories
  • Adhere to a formal new vendor qualification process
  • Perform fair, strategic annual RFP, tier pricing, and contract negotiations
  • Partners with SC Sustainment Engineer to address all single source risk; create documentation to track progress
  • Performs full audit to ensure completion of all vendor documentation (NDA, SLA's, etc)
  • Completes Quarterly Vendor Performance Reviews including individual vendor trending and company-wide risk review
  • Promotion of the Vontier P-Card adoption for the DRB supplier base
  • Oversight of ongoing vendor programs (ex: Card Connect)
  • New Vendor Set-up in Acumatica
  • Uses iSource and ERP system data to perform analysis and execute on departmental priorities.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance, etc. preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years' experience in purchasing management. A minimum of 15 years of direct purchasing experience. Familiarity with manufacturing, assemblies, pieces, and parts. Experience managing an annual spend of >10M.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft office applications. Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel required. ERP experience required.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: APICS/ASCM or ISM certifications preferred.
  • Other: Valid United States Driver's license.
