Job DescriptionX-energy is seeking professionals to join our Corporate Communications team in the role of Specialist III, Multimedia. This position will be responsible to design, develop and produce innovative and interactive web, video, and multimedia products for a responsible, efficient, and progressive nuclear energy company that requires considerable originality, creativity, critical thinking, and an acute awareness of audience and functionality. This position contributes to the tactical execution of visual campaigns by working cooperatively across the organization to create appealing visual artifacts to drive engagement through existing and emerging digital media platforms.
Responsibilities- Responsible for the collection of video source footage, audio sound elements, and other existing or archived materials to be imbedded into applications and web products.
- Facilitate discussions about how to visually represent analytic ideas and advises on the technical advantages and limitations of various formats, styles, media, and reproduction methods to maintain media content brand consistency
- Guides the creative direction and oversees the development of video and audio content to comply with accessibility standards, confidentiality and privacy policies, project timelines, style, and standard guidelines.
- Video Support and Services: Record and assist with lighting and audio set up for remarks and special events to include post-production.
- Media Consultation Services and Support: Utilize and manage a variety of desktop publishing and pre-print services, document finishing, and reproduction, custom design and artwork, large format multi-color printing and lamination, graphics projects, including process and spot color to create polished and sophisticated final products.
- Execute the core tasks and responsibilities, listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section of this document, with minimal supervision.
- Manages medium-complexity projects independently.
- Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Minimum Education/Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
- Knowledge of video equipment and editing software.
- Typically, five years of experience in a relevant role required.
- Demonstrated experience with video recording and editing.
- Demonstrated experience interacting with clients and incorporating feedback into product design.
- Demonstrated experience filming and editing video narratives, sound effect and music.
- Demonstrated experience in using the Adobe Creative Suite (including Premiere, Media Encoder, After Effects or Final Cut).
- Demonstrated experience consulting with customers to determine present and future user needs.
- Demonstrated experience with camera setup, lighting and green screen shooting.
- Intermediate knowledge level of digital photography and videography including editing and video camera operation.
- Intermediate knowledge level of a variety of methods, techniques and materials used in the design, production, and reproduction of visual products.
