OverviewElement has an opportunity for a
Product Safety Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision.
The engineer position must be proficient in a number of core business and technical skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.
Annual salary: $80-120K
Responsibilities- Support testing of electrical/electronic devices to key National and International safety standards (such as 60601-1, 62368-1, 61010-1, and 60335-1)
- Generate technical test reports which will be used as part of CE marking, NRTL, IECEE CB and other regulatory, legislative and certification requirements for electrical devices around the world
- Support the development of new capabilities within the Product Safety Department
- Carry out crucial examination and implementation of testing concepts and data
Skills / Qualifications- Working knowledge of laboratory quality aspects around ISO 17025
- Possess a high level of expertise related to scope, core theories, concepts, terminologies and boundaries of chosen engineering discipline
- Possess a degree or similar within an electrical based background
- Previous experience of testing to core standards such as 60601-1, 62368-1, 61010-1 and/or 60335-1
- Possesses a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element's Product Safety business
- Can analyze and compile testing data from the tests performed
