You will act as customer-facing market expert focused on driving the business' go-to-market processes. You work closely with product management, marketing, sales, customer support, and editorial teams to ensure product development, marketing, and positioning is informed by the voice of the customer.
What you will do
: - Own and analyze market intelligence to have an intimate understanding of the buyer and the decision-making criteria; use those insights to drive changes to sales and marketing processes
- Drive understanding of the competitive landscape and drive opportunity by having a strong understanding of market penetration, white space and the most desirable targets
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other customer facing teams to understand how to most effectively position and present product features for target market segments
- Engage marketing on the development of marketing plan for the products you support. Provide critical inputs as to the targeted markets for growth and market penetration goals, market segmentation and positioning for new feature rollouts, changes in competitive landscape and associated positioning modifications in support of retention and acquisition of new customers.
- Assist team with launches of net-new products and releases of existing products and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
- Work with Team Lead and other team members in developing and maintaining key customer relationships to gather feedback and drive engagement and retention.
- Drive strategy with sales and other internal stakeholders on problems we solve for buyers and users; develop internal sales tools and marketing collateral and educate on how to use them
- Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
You'll need to have
: - Bachelor's degree with relevant coursework
- 5+ years of related experience with at least 2 years in a product marketing or similar role (e.g. conducting competitor analysis and market research)
- 2 years' experience developing, using, supporting, and/or selling legal technology or software solutions preferred
- Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, Project or Basecamp
- Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools such SalesForce
- Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is-or isn't-working
- Must be a strong public speaker, comfortable in front of large, senior groups, and a solid writer
- Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties. Team player!
