POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Position OverviewThe Training Officer position includes a full range of management duties including planning, scheduling, course curriculum development and presentations, record preparations, creating and maintaining records. Ensures quality control measures are followed. The Training Officer is responsible for all required training associated with the Security Services contract. The Training Officer position is considered at the rank of Captain. There are two Training officer positions, one stationed at Naval Magazine Indian Island and one at Naval Base Kitsap Bangor.
This opportunity is for a POTENTIAL CONTRACT award and is contingent upon the contract being awarded. Consideration for a potential contract may require a signed letter of intent. If the contract is awarded, another position posting will be available on the Company Careers portal.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Organizes, directs, and manages operations support functions, involving complex and project tasks.
- Responsible for preparing and enforcing the contractor's training program, including inputs into the Data Housing and Reports Tool program.
- Primary duties include conducting training as per Commander, Navy Installations Command 3502.2 Navy Security Force Training Manual and taking the mandatory 4-week guard course at NBK.
- Ensures training is captured in a training log.
- Develops training curriculums, lesson plans and maintains training records.
- Develops and implements a training plan.
- Should have experience in labor relations, logistics, communications and armory operations.
- Maintain all certifications, weapons qualifications, required licenses.
- Interfaces regularly with the government customer.
- Submits training deliverables as required.
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Required Qualifications- Three years of training experience in security/law enforcement
- Must speak English fluently, read and comprehend written English.
- No felony convictions.
- Maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Pass a drug screening.
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Possess a valid drivers license.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications or Skills:- Certified Firearms Instructor from the NRA or Federal Law Enforcement Agency
- Ability to come certified training instructor in accordance with DOD agency
- Previous Law Enforcement or Security Instructor with experience in teaching use of force, non-lethal weapons training, radio procedure, report writing, search and seizure, federal and state laws, authority, physical control techniques, CPR and First Aid
- Experience in using Learning Management Training Systems
