Job Title: Regional Sales Manager

Summary

Works as a team member of the Sales group in an assigned territory to grow sales and build customer relationships. This position is the front-line contact between the company and the customer. Your anticipated territory will include IL and WI.

Essential Functions

The duties listed below are the specific duties and tasks that someone in this position must accomplish (i.e. why the job exists.) These are the core responsibilities of the position that cannot be modified or eliminated. • Achieve an annual sales quota
• Plan, Forecast and manage sales territory
• Visits customer locations to perform sales calls, least 3 days per week/minimum two visits per day/ 4 weeks per month in an assigned territory, maintaining a minimum of twenty-four (24) customer location visits per month
• Responsible for relationship building with the current and potential new customers within assigned territory visiting existing customers minimally twice per year
• Complete request and deliver all quotations to customers and new prospects
• Follow up on all leads and quotations in timely manner
• Input and Update in C4C all customer relevant information and contact information to ensure customer database is current
• Track all visits, quotations, opportunities, and tasks in C4C (BLM GROUP CRM system)
• Organize all project requests for customer requests to ensure all items are provided per customer's request
• Provide market feedback and report on competitor status in marketplace to the corporate office
• Manages, train, and support non-BLM GROUP USA sales agents in closing new business within the region
• Schedules monthly product demonstrations for customers at the Novi, Michigan location
• Maintain visit activity report and opportunity status in daily in C4C to ensure accurate reporting
• Accurately completes the Sales Information Sheet for all new orders to include all required contact and scope of supply information and documentation
• Completes all documentation to arrange and schedule time cycle studies, demonstration cutting trials, and customer demonstrations in Novi or Italy as required
• Engages management, technical, and other necessary support to ensure customer satisfaction and equipment sales
• The ability to travel internationally
• All other duties as assigned by management

The incumbent works primarily in the field visiting existing customers and new prospects. May occasional visit manufacturing facilities where the noise level may be moderate to loud.

The position requires approximately 75% travel. Travel may be Local, out of State or International as required. On rare occasions this travel may be for a week or more at a time, e.g. Travel to Italy, Tradeshows etc.

Reporting Relationships

This position reports to the National Sales Manager.

Supervisory Responsibility

None.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in a Technical field and/or Business Administration
• At least ten years of sales experience with a technical product line

Licensing/Certifications
• Valid Passport
• Valid Driver's License
• No more than two (2) points on a driving record within a three (3) year period

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Thorough understanding of all BLM products and how they apply to specific machine and part applications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project)
• Able to effectively use the Internet
• Ability to travel by plane or by car in assigned territory
• Proficient with common business practices relating to the purchase, pricing, terms, shipment, taxes, and payment for products and services
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers, including understanding their business needs
• Ability to prioritize and schedule travel activities as well as make efficient use of time and resources
• Highly organized
• Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Able to effectively work with all levels of team members and all types of customer personalities
• Fluent in Italian (preferred, but not required)
