Responsible for enterprise-wide technology infrastructure, service delivery and IT Operations. Recommends upgrades, improvements, and efficiencies. Leads IT team and vendors to ensure adherence to timelines, deliverables, and budgets. Participates in development of IT strategies for the enterprise.
Duties & Responsibilities:
IT Operations:- Oversees the deployment, monitoring, maintenance and support of enterprise hardware, software, networking and telecommunications and service systems.
- Enables "fail-safe" operations and optimization of information technology platforms.
- Plans and controls hardware and software acquisitions to ensure that they are consistent with the company's business plan.
- Monitors, identifies, and reports information security risks to protect both corporate and client assets.
- Responsible for disaster recovery and business continuity, including planning, documentation, implementation, and testing for all platforms. Leads the organization in the resumption of services in the event of serious disruption of IT services.
Building Maintenance:- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the building, including cleanliness, maintenance, and repair Coordinating with tenants to address their concerns, needs, or complaints Managing the building's maintenance staff and contractors, and supervising their work. IT manager is responsible to manage custodians.
Infrastructure:- Works under the guidance of the CFO to provide thought leadership, strategic technology roadmaps, and best practices for the selection and deployment of all infrastructure used throughout the company.
- Reviews performance and capacity of IT systems to manage the optimization of operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements.
- Designs, implements, and manages an IT architecture to provide for seamless integration and management of applications and operations, including, but not limited to, network, telecommunications, and service desk.
- Manages the benchmarking, analysis, and recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
- Implements processes to ensure that technology assets are purchased and tracked in a manner which maximizes value to the company.
Project Management- Develops business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
- Obtains buy-in, creates project plans, budgets, timelines, and milestones.
- Oversees vendor selection, negotiations, and relationship management.
- Ensures proper staffing levels for the efficient execution of initiatives, which support both business and IT operations.
- Networks effectively to gain alignment with relevant decision makers and functions
- Provides regular management updates including major issues which could impact project success.
Administration- Develops and administers IT budgets.
- Oversees the development of enterprise technology standards and IT best practices, including governance processes and performance metrics to ensure IT delivers value to the enterprise.
- Develops and implements security policies, security audits, remediation of findings, and the implementation of risk mitigation activities, where applicable.
- Monitors and maintains hardware and software licenses, subscriptions, and renewals as part of the IT budget
Leadership- As an IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the enterprise, recommends strategies and tactics for solving day to day IT operational issues, optimizing systems and supporting profitable growth.
- Develops, maintains, and continuously improves processes, systems and technology, measurement practices, and metrics reporting.
- Collaborates with Executive Team, Managers, and other key staff to ensure effective problem identification, resolution, and development of new initiatives.
- Ensures quality hires; develops, motivates, mentors and leads staff to optimize their performance of day-to-day responsibilities, projects fulfillments and initiatives.

System Support- Ultimate responsibility for monitoring system capacities and performance; recommend best practices and evolving technologies that can meet company needs.
- Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures, identify problems to supervisor.
- Write and maintain proper documentation of all information systems.
- Assist with hardware replacement and upgrades, as necessary and work closely with service vendors to ensure continuity of service.
- Manage routine maintenance on all company servers and network devices by means of patches and firmware updates.
- Facilitate system and application updates with all support vendors.
Troubleshooting- Troubleshoot networks and system applications to identify and correct issues.
- Resolve escalated tickets from tier 1, and tier 2 support technicians.
- Investigate ongoing issues within the information technology infrastructure.
Deployment- Research software products and applicability to organizational environment.
- Install, configure, and maintain selected software and hardware products.
- Plan out and execute deployment of new systems, including physical and virtual servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and phone systems.
Physical & Network Security- Verify application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
- Preserve assets by conducting disaster recovery and back-up procedures.
- Maintain system and data integrity by administering network security policies including firewall configurations, remote configurations, file permissions, data, and changes in users.
Staff Supervision- Ultimately responsible for day-to-day performance of group.
- Ensures that each group member understands their role, performance standards and targets.
- Provides leadership and direction; trains mentor and develops staff.
- Provides real-time feedback on work results, and adherence to organization key values.
- Writes and/or approves performance evaluations, performance alerts, performance acknowledgements
- Shares company updates and information, as needed.
- Leads the interview and selection process for open positions.
- Assists in resolving emergencies.
