Our client, a Banking organization, located in the Nashville area; is in need of a full-time IT Manager . This position is Hybrid. The IT Manager is a key operational role focused on maintaining and enhancing the bank's information technology infrastructure. This role also ensures the security of physical, intellectual, and informational assets, either directly or through collaboration with team members and external partners.
IT Manager Responsibilities
- Oversee the bank's IT infrastructure, including collaboration with a managed service provider (MSP), and develop a roadmap to transition to an in-house centralized system
- Administer IT systems, providing subject matter expertise and guidance to the MSP for bank-related technologies
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the bank's hardware, software, network topology, and critical third-party applications
- Oversee and participate in the bank's vendor management program
- Manage and mentor IT team members, fostering growth through coaching and structured performance evaluations
- Collaborate with the vCISO to ensure cybersecurity measures align with regulatory and industry standard
- Direct the IT audit process, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks
- Manage the bank's asset lifecycle, including hardware, software, and licenses, while planning purchases and forecasting future needs
- Develop and monitor the bank's IT budget, ensuring financial alignment with strategic objectives.
- Lead major IT projects, ensuring successful delivery within defined timelines and scope
- Advise senior leadership on IT strategies and future roadmaps
- Manage service escalations and provide end-user support as needed to maintain a positive employee experience
- Contribute actively to the Technology and Cybersecurity Steering Committee
- Strong knowledge of IT governance, risk management, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in IT infrastructure and support tools, as well as familiarity with network design, hardware, and enterprise software applications
- Advanced understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
- General familiarity with banking operations and regulations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and reliability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and related productivity tools
IT Manager Requirements:
- 5+ years of IT experience.
- 2+ years in a management capacity.
- 2+ years of experience in the banking industry.
- Expert-level knowledge of server infrastructure (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure).
- Experience with mobile device management tools like Microsoft InTune and networking hardware (e.g., Fortinet, Meraki).
- Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
