In this Operations Controlling role, you will be responsible for the financial analysis functions for the Louisville, KY manufacturing facility, reporting to the Head Plant Controller of our Kentucky sites. Here, you will develop, lead, and control functional budgets and forecasts, working directly with the Plant Manager, other finance functions, and factory scheduling. You will run aspects of complex projects within and between functional groups to analyze, identify, interpret, and evaluate complex financial, accounting, cost, and trend reports to improve processes and economic performance.

In addition, you will work to identify and implement improvements in methods, procedures, and processes to improve performance and prepare standard reporting and analysis of cost/profit trends from the financial statements. You'll need to aggressively identify financial issues, define causes, and form conclusions to present to the business partners. Ensure that systems, procedures, and reports align with company policies and applicable regulations while tracking progress and providing assistance for productivity activities.
What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Support the Planning Process, including monthly forecast and annual budget process.
  • Collaborate with technical and financial partners to drive asset management initiatives to improve safety, quality, product cost, and lead times
  • Control meaningful business-critical metrics such as volume development, SG&A, Headcount, FCF, etc., and ensure the achievement of targets within each. Where deviations are found, initiate corrective actions with the team
  • Maintain profitability, trend, and variance analysis used as a baseline for developing recommendations and advise management regarding actions and activities to improve the bottom line
  • Recognize and actively promote the exchange of standard methodologies within the organization
  • Contribute to conceptual discussions regarding market, planning, performance, reporting issues, US GAAP applications, departmental process improvements, and financial requirements.
  • Support inventory control and obsolete analysis
  • Prepare Make/Buy business cases
To thrive in this role, you have:
  • Finance / Accounting Degree and 3+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting and/or prior experience in manufacturing
  • The ability to demonstrate operational influence regarding meaningful current business concepts through validated experience and leadership
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well across internal organizations to develop operational strategic vision
  • Proven track record of innovative thinking and process improvement.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with SAP, PLM, S&OP planning
  • Experience with Tableau business analytics software is a plus

This career may be based in Louisville or Marion, KY. We offer a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees, including PTO, 401k match, and tuition reimbursement. The base salary range for this position in Louisville or Marion, KY, is $89,300-$105,000. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
